If you are getting married or work in the bridal industry, you need to know about this year’s top bridal event in North West Georgia. The North West Georgia Bridal Expo runs once a year and for the last several years it has been hosted by the Clarence Brown Center in Cartersville, Georgia. For some insight into the event, we sat down with Deanna Berry of McWhorter Capital Partners who has been the coordinator since 2014.

This isn’t your average business expo. Berry describes the expo as an “upbeat and live event.” And this year there are more than 52 vendors from all across North West Georgia participating in and benefitting from this showcase. There are companies of all types featured including photographers, caterers, bridal boutiques, DJ’s and venues. There is even a company called Red Carpet Restrooms that can provide clean, climate-controlled restroom trailers for an outdoor wedding. Even if you didn’t think about it, the vendors have all the bases covered. New this year is a company who puts together custom bridal party gifts.

"Another area that the expo showcases is the aesthetic needs for a wedding."

Another area that the expo showcases is the aesthetic needs for a wedding. There are dentists, hair stylists, makeup artists, as well as personal trainers there to help the bride achieve her aesthetic goals. Every need can be met and vendors are always happy to help.

Berry noted that “the venues are the ones who come out and bring the biggest game. Because a lot of the venues will have a list of their preferred venues. They bring in everything. They aren’t just marketing their venues, but also their preferred DJ and cake baker and the like. So, they tend to go all out on their booths.” A complete list of this year’s vendors can be found on the event’s website.

Brides come to the expo to get ideas and see what is trending before they start to book their weddings. Patrons are able to book their wedding needs at the event. It’s essentially Pinterest in person;  and it’s atmosphere of joy as music is played all day long. There are fashion shows for everyone in the wedding party and musicians for every bride’s taste, so it’s not just looking at pamphlets.

Berry has the organization of the expo down to a science, but she isn’t afraid of change. Trends in the bridal industry change constantly, so each year she strives to make the necessary changes to keep the event current and valuable to both the vendors and the brides.

The expo runs on January 27, 2019 from 12pm to 5pm. You don’t want to miss it!
