Loud chants down the hallways leading into the gymnasium set the tone for a day full of dodgeball at Anna K Davie Elementary School.

In celebration for achieving top Wolfpack status for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), AKD students were able to participate in dodgeball games against their peers, as well as a special game against their teachers.

Wolfpack stands for Work hard, Own your behavior, Listen and learn and Focus on respect.

The dodgeball tournament was a great way for teachers to fellowship with students on a less stressful level, as well as a great day for fun.

“You’re going down!” and “We’re gonna beat you!” could be heard all throughout the gymnasium as both students and teachers prepared themselves for a tough game to see which team was best at dodgeball: the teachers or the students?

According to Velvet Ferrari, Anna K Davie Media Specialist, the students had been hanging up posters and preparing themselves for this big match-up all week. “We have been doing a lot of ‘trash-talking’ getting the students hyped up for today’s games. We are all just so excited and so proud of these students for earning their PBIS points,” said Ferrari.

After finishing their games, students huddled around the snack tables and enjoyed some time with their friends in celebration of their good behavior.
