When asked about their unique approach to the strains many retailers are experiencing now, Weed shares that it was social media that saved the day. “It keeps us in touch with our customers, and has given our store an awareness to people who might be new to our boutique.” The daily fashion shows brought a new normal as the doors were closed to browsing.

Morris and Weed, of Mel and Mimi, have weathered many challenges over the last two decades as business partners and friends. Morris describes the effect of current events, “as any crisis, Covid-19 grounds us to what our goals are as a small business in Rome, Georgia, keeping our partnership strong and our friendship growing as we move forward in 2020.” As the dynamic duo approach 23 years in business, they have cherished the opportunity to continue catering to their clients with appointment shopping and homedelivery options. Checkout what they have shakin’ on Facebook, and shop a whole lotta fabulous.
